What a weekend it has been, and it's not even over! The picture below is a celebratory shot of a SWEET mug that Peter and Caitlin sent Jonathan. You've just gotta give a thumbs up to that.
We remain very eager as we await Hannah's arrival, but she apparently wants a bit more time to plump up in an effort to challenge Peter's birth weight. Sarah insists that's not a physical option. To take our minds off of waiting for Hannah to decide she's ready to appear, we spent Friday night at the Hopkinton State Fair. We saw countless animals, a horse pulling competition, MANY carnies, a very good hypnotist, and the bearded lady. (Just kidding about the bearded lady.) We think that Hannah will really enjoy going to the fair in the years ahead.
Saturday was a very productive day around the house. We broke up the chores / work by walking up our road to the apple orchard and buying a 1/4 peck so Sarah could make a delicious apple crisp for an afternoon snack. The orchard is a wonderful place and we'll absolutely plan on making a trip with any willing guests. We capped off the day by picking up a new uniform (i.e. suit and some dress shirts) for J at the outlet stores in Tilton and having dinner out at one of the happiest places on Earth (i.e. Margaritas -- many of you know it well).
We enjoyed another nice service at our new church (the First Congregational Church of Hopkinton) and we're headed up to Jim and Dayle's for a big family get-together this evening. Jonathan plans on laboring tomorrow after having fun all weekend and hopes that Sarah soon follows suit.
For your amusement, the next picture gives you a taste of what Sarah sees when she looks down at her toes. We understand that all of these new experiences are just the beginning of what will surely be a wild and fantastic ride.
