Fall Update

Mason's bday Hannah was particularly excited to give this gift to M.

Yahoo!  Marble run!

Beautiful lady and woman who made all the September birthdays so special.

The elaborate dinosaur cake Sarah made for Mason's birthday party with his buddies.

Dinner and Hannah's birthday celebration!

The birthday girl, with her special crown from school.  What a loving, compassionate, cheerful girl our 5 year old has become!

The kids had a blast playing at Hannah's bday party.

Hannah's Pippi-themed birthday cakes, all homemade by Sarah

Leading the kids on a scavenger hunt in some of the woods near our house.

Giving the girls one of their clues.

Jonathan did a fantastic job creating and executing the Treasure Hunt!

The birthday girl at her part: 5 and Sassy!

The kids played "pin the parts on Pippi"  Hannah created and colored all the "parts" (braids, blue dress with red patches, stockings, scarf, etc) for Pippi in the weeks prior to her party.

The kids were so excited about this.

Ta-Da!  The final product.

The girls and Mason (and one girl's sibling) gathered around for a final picture.

Horsing around one beautiful day after school.

The Mason Man hammering away, at the beginning of his photo shoot. Mom tried to get a good shot of Mason to update the pictures in the living room.  However, it was clear from the start that this smug smile may be all she could get from him.

The boys sawing away at a huge log at their preschool.

Sarah to Sam: "Sam, look up at that tree and smile."

Yes!  A good one of Sam!  Now, on to that Mason man!

The boys at work and play

"Mason, look at me!" exclaims Mom, attempting to get a decent picture from a fall photo shoot at Emerson one day after school.

The subject thought he was being funny when he refused to cooperate for the photographer.

Mom tried the same attempt as she did with Sam: "Mason, look up at that tree and smile!" and this is what she got.
Clearly, he gets this from Unc B and GP Jimbo and not from either of us.

Goof --- who does he get this from?!

Serious consideration going on about the project at hand.  He was about to recommend something to Sammy here.

And then this, and about 60 additional photos that we will spare you from cruising through here....Until.....

FINALLY!  A great shot and the photo shoot concluded!

One happy girl

All four, enjoying life -- what a great day!

Photographer (Mom) says, "Hannah, will you look up at that tree and smile?"

Quote Corner
Thank you to Jonathan, who took over Blog responsibilities for this post!  I only added a few additions to the captions, where I thought it would be helpful. Moreover, I have a few quotes to add:

Hannah says to Mason, "Do you want to live near each other when we are adults?"

Hannah exclaims, "I just want to stick my nose in these flowers they smell so good; do you?!" as she inhales the scents emanating from some birthday flowers she received from Grand Aunt Jane.

Mason about his left-over caramel dipping sauce "Mom, all this gooey stuff, I'm going to drink up!"

Hannah to Mason: "What do you think of pirates, Mason?" and then she continues, "I hate pirates."
Mason responds, "Don't hate pirates, or they will be sad."

Mason to Mom: "Mom, I don't go to girls parties; I just go to boys parties."  Mason, when you're a teenager and reading this, I would like you to remember what you stated.

"You can't take the [Bandaid] off, because the poke is right there," stated Mason about the site at which they administered his flu vaccine.
