Lioness or Princess?! Nicki, thank you so much for making this beautiful Princess skirt for Hannah!
Mason's arms are not long enough to climb up this slide the appropriate way, so he scales up the front, as you can see in these images.
Is he going to be a rock climber like GP Jimbo....?
Perhaps!
Mom thought it would be fun to have some sensory play with corn kernels in a container; however, she should have known that it would evolve into a game of pick-up!
Hannah writes her numbers in salt! Another great sensory method of teaching!
This book from the library was a hit with Mason. Sometimes it's challenging to convince Mason to sit still for a story.
Mason's new parking garage is also a hit in his mind.
Hannah conducted a science experiment with color, in which she filled the two external glasses you see in the image with blue and yellow, respectively. Then, she put an empty glass in between them and bridged paper towels from each of the glasses containing colored water with the middle (empty) glass. After a few hours, we found GREEN (!) water had appeared in the middle glass due to capillary action. On the paper she is holding up, you can see she diagrammed the results.
Hannah having fun in the sun of fall!
I was impressed that Hannah was capable of following these dotted lines when I showed her this exercise, but she did very well (as you can see here) on her first try!
Mason makes art with markers.
And then, we play with play dough!
Mason is a huge fan of basket ball and can dunk in our little Fisher Price hoop. Here you can she he is slobbering, too, as his first molar emerges.
These two LOVE playing together with the Gertie balls. Thank you, Peter and Caitlin!
This is typically the scene when Mom is trying to pull dinner together.
Mason mows the lawn. It will be great when he can do this outside with a real mower someday, but I do not want to rush it!
