She's in position!

Sarah had her 35.5 week Pregnancy Plus class today, and during her one-on-one appointment, we received confirmation that baby Hannah has positioned her head to take the plunge.  This comes after Sarah diligently completed several sessions of acrobatic positioning (see photo below) after she was initially informed that Hannah was in breach position at 31 weeks.  In the photo you can see that Sarah is holding a flashlight to her lower abdomen, which is supposed to help lure her downward because Hannah can now discern light.  Also, babies like being warm, thus, frozen peas were placed on Sarah's upper abdomen to encourage her to move away (south).  The frozen peas certainly stimulated a lot of movement, if nothing else.  The position is also recommended (body upside down on incline).  Thankfully, all of this bogus advice and Sarah's open-mindedness worked!  The good news is that Hannah should remain in this position until her grand arrival because she is getting to be so large that there is little space left for summersaults.

We had a great time seeing everyone who made it out to the baby shower.  Thank you for all of the thoughtful gifts and for celebrating her anticipated arrival with us!

We spent last weekend on Lake Champlain / St. Albans, VT, hangin' with Unc B and Nicole (who were fabulous hosts and wow, B is a master griller), the Masons, and the Galies.  Good times were had by all, and baby Hannah enjoyed a kayak expedition with her parents around one of the islands (see picture).  Brandon did a remarkable job commandeering his vessel in 5' swells.  Jonathan got a gash in his head when he bonked a ceiling at work the Thursday before (requiring 5 stitches), so he took care to protect his wound (in hopes of proper healing and reduced scarring) by wearing a sombrero and Hawaiian shirt all weekend (see below).

We had a nice anniversary celebration last Friday (one day late because Sarah was a guest lecturer at a local college on Thursday).  We enjoyed a delicious meal at the Barley House in Concord, and discovered the best ice cream shop we've ever experienced (with fresh homemade ice cream!).  Next time any of you are around these parts, we'll take you out for the largest servings you've ever seen this side of Stevens Point, WI.

We have also included a picture of our living room, as things are slowly coming together and we are becoming more and more settled each day.

Thank you for reading along!

I found out that Addie was breach at 29 weeks, and did much of the same worrying and many of the same exercises! She's been head-down for a couple of months now, thank goodness. Don't worry; I don't think that Hannah will turn back around.

Hugs to you both from both of us.
