Jay Peak, Easter, Spring!

The last few weeks have been bustling with activity.  From a family vacation -- first one since going to "The Perch" last summer -- at Jay Peak, which we gave rave reviews, to ditching Easter eggs with extended family, and racing plastic water striders through culverts on Gould Hill, we've kept quite busy.

Look at that view!  Even though the first day was a bit cloudy, it was still great skiing and certainly not a bunch of people around on this particular Sunday afternoon.

 Hannah's first tram ride!

Tram ride to the summit for a nice, long, winding ski down!

What a blast to have a little skier capable of skiing off the tram!  We are so impressed, Hannah!

This trip was so reinvigorating and critical.  Can't think of anything better than having fun all together.

Family fun starts right here.

This 20 million-dollar Pump House was incredible, featuring an amazing Lazy River, some impressive (and scary!) water slides, a surfer's wave rider pool,  hot tubs inside and out, as well as rock climbing walls emerging from pools, basketball in the water, and a phenomenal kiddie area.

 Kids + Pool + Dad = smiles!

Mason playing with his friend, Cam, who we coordinated with to be at Jay when we would be there.

Mason stares dreamily at the Pump House several hours before it opens.

How special to be skiing with my girl already!  XO, Hannah!
Hotel Jay is behind me in this picture.  It was very clean and had kitchenettes, so we could bring all of our food and cook there!

Family Fun Night involved making little Easter Bunnies out of toilet paper rolls on this particular Friday evening.

Wow, Hannah you look so grown-up in this picture!

The kids were extremely excited about the Easter Bunny.

 High Five!

Easter morning always brings ditching of the eggs (or, Egg Fights, as Jonathan grew-up saying!)!

Mason, please don't miss!  Look at that wind-up!

You can do it!  Who won?!

Nickie -- God bless her! -- brought along another project for the kids.  This time, they used decoupage and magazine images (cut by children) to decorate flower pots!

On the road in her Easter clothing!

 Hugs for Gramps!

Nanny and Gramps came down a few minutes before we all had to leave for Easter service.  They joined us, as did Unc B and Aunt Nickie!  Mormor and Grandpa might have joined, if they hadn't been in New Mexico!

EASTER SUNDAY

WOW!  Look at that blue lobster!  Mason was very into the sea animals and watched them intently.

Touch Tanks are always a fun time!

 Hannah feels a sea star.

"Fishing" from the boat at the Science Center at Odiorn Point.  This was far and away the kids favorite place in the museum.  We went with all the kids you can see in the boat on vacation week.  It was a blast.

Mason and Parker filled this sorry little net so many times, and with such heavy stones, that it's amazing that it was still in one piece at the end of the day.

Hannah, on the other hand, searched for sea glass on the beach at Odiorn Point and she was quite successful!
